Project Title: Pranajeewa – A Nature-Based Healing Landscape

Year: 2022

Description: This project envisions Pranajeewa as an urban healing landscape that restores balance between people and nature within the dense town of Ragama. Guided by ecopsychology and therapeutic landscape theories, the design transforms underutilized urban land into a network of green, walkable, and sensory-rich spaces that promote mental well-being and ecological regeneration. Integrating water-sensitive design, shaded walkways, and restorative gardens, the proposal mitigates flooding, heat, and urban stress while offering spaces for reflection and community gathering. Inspired by the rhythmic movement of the Pranajeewa plant, the project symbolizes life and resilience—cultivating a healing dialogue between the urban fabric, environment, and human experience.

Description : This residential landscape design transforms a two-story California home into a sanctuary of outdoor living, harmonizing modern comfort with nature’s tranquility. Anchored by a striking cascading hot tub and jacuzzi, complemented by dual water features, the design emphasizes the calming rhythm of flowing water throughout the space. An elegant pool, outdoor kitchen, and dining pavilion foster family gatherings and social experiences, while dedicated lounging and relaxation zones invite quiet retreat. Thoughtfully designed driveways and pathways integrate seamlessly into the vibrant neighborhood, creating a cohesive flow between architecture and landscape that reflects both luxury and livability.

Description : This design envisions a luxury hotel and restaurant harmoniously nestled within the tropical forests of Southern Sri Lanka. The concept draws inspiration from the organic curves of the Sadakadapahana, weaving fluidity and cultural symbolism into modern landscape elements. The restaurant blends contemporary aesthetics with subtle Sri Lankan touches, offering guests a refined yet authentic atmosphere. Pathways, water features, and curated planting palettes emphasize seamless transitions between architecture and nature, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in mesmerizing forest views while experiencing a balance of luxury, tradition, and ecological sensitivity.

Restaurant  Landscape,   Netherlands

Protect title : The Riveryard Cove – Riverside Container Restaurant Landscape

Year : September 2025

Location: North Holland, Netherlands

Designer : Amila M Peiris

Description : Set along the dynamic waterfront of IJmuiden, a vibrant port town in North Holland in Netherlands, this design transforms three 40-foot shipping containers into a modern restaurant hub with a rooftop terrace. Two containers anchor the ground floor while the third crowns the structure, offering elevated views of the river and ferry activities. The 360 m² building footprint is complemented by expansive terraces, including a floating deck that extends the dining experience onto the water. Surrounding landscapes integrate children’s play zones, outdoor fitness areas, and flexible parking, weaving leisure, recreation, and gastronomy into a cohesive riverside destination that celebrates both industrial character and natural beauty.

Description: Wonder Grove envisions a vibrant urban landscape designed to nurture creativity, play, and connection among children in the heart of the city. Rooted in child-centric and biophilic design principles, the project transforms a constrained urban site into an immersive, nature-inspired environment that balances learning, play, and ecological awareness. Using organic forms, interactive topography, and sensory planting, the landscape stimulates curiosity and motor development while fostering emotional well-being. Shaded play zones, water features, and quiet green corners provide inclusive spaces for children of all abilities to explore safely. Celebrating the spirit of Sri Lankan culture and climate, Wonder Grove integrates sustainability with imagination—creating a joyful sanctuary where nature becomes a lifelong teacher.

Project Title: Blue-Green Infrastructure Development – Lisson Grove Estate Northwest Block

Location: Westminster, London, United Kingdom

Description: This project reimagines the northwest block of the Lisson Grove Estate as a resilient blue-green infrastructure corridor that integrates community well-being with environmental regeneration. Rooted in evidence-based environmental design, the proposal introduces sponge parks, rooftop community gardens, and permeable landscape systems to address urban overheating, stormwater management, and limited green access. The design balances ecological function and social vitality, transforming underused urban land into a living system that enhances biodiversity, air quality, and thermal comfort. Through strategic zoning, microclimatic simulations, and community engagement, the project demonstrates how sustainable landscape interventions can rejuvenate dense social housing estates into vibrant, climate-adaptive environments.
